Former Super Eagles player, Kayode Olanrewaju has threatened to sue a doctor who allegedly started the rumours of him not being the father of the children he had with his wife Dora Olarenwaju.
In May there were several media reports about a DNA test disproving the paternity of the three children the footballer had raised over the years. But speaking through his lawyers Alexime Law Associates Monday Olarenwaju dismissed the reports claiming that they were the imaginations of one Dr Ruth Emosiluamhe Agbukor who planted the rumours on her X feed. Kayode Olarenwaju also accused his estranged wife of being privy to the tweet, which was meant to riddicule him.
Kayode’s legal team demanded that Dr Agbukor reveal her information source, delete the false story, and issue a public retraction.
They warned of potential legal action for libel and charges under the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act if she failed to comply.
“We are committed to uncovering the source of this story as part of our broader strategy to shift focus away from the substantive issues of fraud and misconduct by Dora,” said the statement by Kayode Olarenwaju’s lawyers.
