Late business mogul and politician, Moshood Abiola had a reputation with the ladies during his life time; he was famous for his many wives and children.
One of the children, Abdul Mumuni MKO Abiola, said during a chat that DNA test confirmed his paternity of 55 kids out the 103 his women claimed that he sired.
MKO Abiola was the undeclared winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election one of the freest and fairest elections ever conducted in the country. The result was cancelled by the military junta of Ibrahim Babaginda.
Chief Abiola died in federal government custody on July 1, 1998 after he was detained by head of state General Sanni Abacha.
At his death the family conducted a DNA test to verify who and who is entitled to his vast wealth.
Speaking on “The Mic On” podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, Abdul Mumuni Abiola said:
“You know, the Abiola family, we’re not that much because people are thinking that we are a lot. We are only 55.
“Well, there were 40 wives according to the will but I think there were 40 something though.
“Some wives were not there at the end. Most of the wives had one or two children for my dad. So, when my father was alive, he was paying for 103 children to go to school.
“But after blood tests, his children numbered 55,”
