Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu Friday, July 5, filed a counter affidavit in the joint custody suit brought against her by the Afrobeats star.
Davido, wanting unrestricted access to his daughter Imade Adeleke, had on April 17, 2024, deposited in a suit marked LD/1587PMC/2024, at Lagos High Court asking Sophia Momodu to grant him joint custody of the kid.
Davido in his court filing alleged that Momodu demanded he pay the nanny she hired a monthly salary of $800, equivalent to $19,600 annually, which he deemed excessive. He also said that despite all efforts to provide for their daughter’s well-being, Momodu has consistently treated him with cruelty and caused him significant emotional pain.
Momodu, in her response to the singer’s case, filed 102 paragraphs of counter affidavit via her legal team, Anthony Idigbe SAN, of Punuka Attorneys and Bimpe Ajegbomogun.
Momudu debunked the allegations, stating that it was Davido who by his “own choice” has refused to see their daughter since July 2022.
