‘Calm Down’ crooner Divine Ikubor a.k.a Rema, said in his new song that he can now be counted among the top four of the Nigerian Afrobeats genre.
Rema, a multi-award-winning singer popular with his song ‘Calm Down’ a worldwide hit with one billion hits in US music streaming platforms, sang his new song “Hehehe”: “No more big 3, there’s now a big 4.”
This statement has generated backlash, with some fans arguing that Rema has not achieved the same level of success as the established “Big 3.”
“ People go para but what for? Dem go say I don’t deserve it but that is an insult,” he added in the song.
Burna Boy, Wizkid and Davido are widely regarded as the biggest Nigerian/Afrobeats artists in the world and are jointly referred to as the “Big 3.”
