Nigeria’s women national team the Super Falcons have been assured of maximum support by the Super Eagles Supporters Club as they vie to win the 2024 Olympics gold starting July 25 in Paris, France.
The Super Falcons will open their account with Brazil on July 25 the Stade de Bordeaux and according to Prince Vincent Okumagba, who is founding president of the SESC, his and members would be on ground to cheer the Super Falcons to victory against Brazil who are aiming to win their first ever Olympics gold.
“Supporting the national teams is what we do best, despite the lack of motivation from the authorities,” said Prince Okumagba.
“I will be in Paris this week to make all the necessary arrangements we have to give the Super Falcons all the encouragement they need.
They are in a tough group, but they have all it takes to advance to the next stage.”
Meanwhile the Super Falcons will take on reigning Olympics champions Canada in a training match on Wednesday July 17 in Seville, Spain where they have been rehearsing for the Olympics. The nine-times African champions are in a difficult group, which also has Japan, former Olympic champions and Spain World Cup champions.
