Veteran musician and entertainer, Charles Oputa, a.k.a Charly Boy, is spitting fire over alleged moves by the Federal government to arrest main opposition voice Peter Obi.
President Bola Tinubu ‘s adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga had accused Peter Obi’s supporters of planning the reported August 1 protests, but the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 elections dismissed the accusations. He called on the government to address the yearnings of the masses rather than chasing shadows.
Reacting, Charly Boy, in a post on his official X handle, wondered why the Presidency is holding Obi responsible for the planned protest anchored on the hardship in the nation.
“Abeg I wan understand something, so Nigerians – BAT supporters join – wan gather protest against Tinubu’s bad government and horrible tenure, but na Peter Obi dem wan hold accountable by arresting am? Okay na!!,” Charlie Boy wrote.
“Let’s go! Make una try that arrest and see what will happen as una think say una dey untouchable therefore can do anything. We look and wait”.
