World famous Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems, said that one of greatest wish in this life is to do a collaboration with Sade Adu.
Tems who was speaking to Bazaar magazine concerning her up coming album “Born Wild,” noted that Sade is one of her inspiration in her blossoming music career.
Nigerian-British born Sade, is a soul, pop and smooth jazz singer is famous with hits like “Sweetest Taboo,’ ‘Smooth Operator’ and ‘No Ordinary Love.” Born in Ibadan she is the first Nigerian to win the Grammy Awards in 1986. The 65 years old Sade is still active in music.
“I don’t remember what age I was when I first heard Sade’s song,” Tems said.
“But there’s a part of her music that resonates with me internally. Performance wise, she exudes that feminine energy that is just transcendant.
“She looks like she is from another planet. I’m still finding my own legs, but these are the people I look up to when it comes to performing.
Tems added: “If it’s ever possible in this life, my ultimate dream is making a collabo with Sade.”
