The Nigeria Football Federation has called for applications from coaches home and abroad to apply for the job of coaching the national U-20 male team.
Coach Ladan Bosso had been in charge of the Flying Eagles for four years but the team has failed to make any impact in continent contests. They crashed out in the quarter final of the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup and also crashed out of the 2023 African Games football event in the group stages. This attracted calls by Nigerian football fans for the NFF to remove Ladan Bosso.
The NFF according to a post on its website
(https://thenff.com/job/vacancy-for-the-position-of-u-20-male-national-team-head-coach/) specified that candidates who possess at least a CAF B License, must have been in football coaching for at least five years, be conversant with Nigeria’s domestic game, possess strong leadership qualities and be able to communicate effectively in English language can apply for the job.
It also added coaches must also be upright and transparent in the discharge of their duties, be ready and willing to work with the NFF Technical Department and NFF Technical Sub-Committee, must have attained some level of success in coaching in the past three years and be ready to work cordially with the NFF leadership.
The application will close at midnight of Sunday, 4th August 2024, and a successful candidate will be named after a thorough screening process.
