Victor Osimhen through his agent Roberto Calenda has dismissed reports claiming that Chelsea and Napoli are set for a swap deal involving him and Romelu Lukaku.
According to the reports Chelsea and Napoli are in talks to have Osimhen move to the London club, while Lukaku heads in the opposite direction.
But Calenda said in a tweet that: “I read about ‘fantasy exchanges’ with Victor… as if he was a package to be delivered quickly.
“This package is the top scorer of the third Scudetto in the history of Napoli. Respect and stop fake news!”
Napoli and Osimhen agreed that he moves on in the summer after he signed a new contract in December that included a significant pay rise and a release clause worth more than $130m, which the clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG have shied away from.
The 25-year-old has scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for the Italian side since joining from Lille in July 2020.
New Napoli head coach Antonio Conte has made it clear he doesn’t have Osimhen in his plans preferring to bring Lukaku, whom he managed for two seasons at Inter Milan.
Osimhen and Lukaku are training away from the rest of their respective squads amid the uncertainty over their futures.
