Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface revealed that he enjoyed his last season with German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and he is looking for more of the same this season.
Boniface scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists in 34 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen in their unbeaten run for the league title and the German Cup in his first season.
“We enjoyed what happened, how we made history and were celebrated by the club,” he told the Counterattack podcast.
“And everyone that witnessed it wants to witness more. I’m ready to give 100 percent to achieve what we achieved last year, and I’m sure it’s the same for the rest of the players.”
Boniface was named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month for August, September, October and November 2023. He missed the German player of the year award, for which he was nominated along 21 other players. Toni Kroos won the award.
