Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho said at his unveiling in Seville FC that he was looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Spanish LaLiga with his new club.
After spending nine seasons in England with Manchester City and Leicester City, Iheanacho signed a two-year contract on free transfer for Seville without hesitation when the offer came.
“Like I said before, I am very happy. I am going to play like I did in England, it is a new challenge. I am ready to play in the Spanish League, and I am going to give everything for Sevilla.”
“I’m really feeling good. I’m happy to come to Sevilla, and I’m happy the deal went through. It’s a great opportunity for me,” said during his maiden press conference.
He would be teaming up with fellow Sper Eagles player Chidera Ejuke who also joined Seville this summer and ex-teammate at Manchester City Jesús Navas.
“Jesús is a legend here. He is an incredible person with a great personality. I’ve known him for a long time.
“He’s a fantastic leader. He has won many trophies in Sevilla’s history and I’m looking forward to playing with him”.
