Chelsea and Napoli are prepared for talks on a possible Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku swap deal after the Blues’ quest to sign Atletico Madrid forward Samu Omorodion collapsed.
Napoli are interested in signing Lukaku who has already agreed terms and ready to team up with Antonio Conte, while Osimhen has made it clear he wants to leave the Italian side this summer. He has agreed terms with Paris Saint Germain, but the French side cooled off their interest in the Super Eagles striker.
Having missed out on signing Omorodion due to a major contractual disagreement with the Nigerian born player, Chelsea are looking at Osimhen and are ready for talks with Napoli.
Meanwhile former Chelsea defender William Gallas has called on the London club to act fast and sign Osimhen whom he likened to club great Didier Drogba.
“Like Didier Drogba, Victor Osimhen can take Chelsea to the next level. Looking at what he has done with Napoli, leading them to the title, he could do that with Chelsea.
“Chelsea need a striker, and I don’t know what they are waiting for,” Gallas said.
Osimhen has not played any game for Napoli this season and last weekend a fan videod him partying at a popular Napoli night club and the this infuriated the wantaway player.
