Piqued by Paris St Germain move for Ademola Lookman, Italian Serie A side Atalanta has slammed a price tag of €40m on the player.
It emerged last weekend that the PSG are keen to pry Lookman who had a fantastic 2024 season with the Super Eagles at the African Cup of Nations and capped his year with a hattrick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.
Lookman has made a transfer request from Atalanta in the hope that he would move to the French capital.
Reports by Calciomercato.com says that PSG are keen to sign Lookman and have proposed a pay rise of €4.5m per season, more than doubling his current salary of €1.8m.
However, PSG have not put a bid on the table for Atalanta to consider. Atalanta also keen to keep Lookman since it was late to find a replacement. They have now put a price tag €40m on Lookman with the hope of cooling PSG’s interest
