Borno State Commissioner for Finance, Ahmed Ali Ahmed was Monday morning found dead in his bedroom.
Worried family members broke into Mr. Ahmed’s room when he failed to come out the usual time he always appears from his bedroom. The door was forced opened and his lifeless body was found.
A statement made available to the media by the Borno commissioner of information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar confirmed the development.
This would be the second commissioner Governor Babagana Zulum is losing.
In October 2023, the Borno State Commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Resettlement (RRR), Ibrahim Garba, was found dead in his guest house located in the 777-housing estate in Maiduguri. His body was found alongside that of a yet-to-be-identified woman who was discovered unconscious and later died at the hospital where she had been taken for treatment.
