Former Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr is wishing that his compatriot Bruno Labbadia will have a good run with his new job as Super Eagles coach.
The two German coaches will come face to face when the Cheetahs of Benin Republic tackle the Super Eagles in the September 7 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo. It would be the first game to be played by Labbadia with the Super Eagles.
“I wish him all the best, but not against us (Benin),” said Rohr who was fired by the Nigeria Football Federation in 2021.
“He’s a very good coach, I hope he’s well treated by the NFF and Nigerian fans.
“He has experience in the Bundeslia, I hope he quickly finds his way in Nigeria, which is a different environment.”
The list of the Super Eagles players for the qualfiers was released Tuesday by the NFF. The squad will resume training on September 2.
