Super Eagles top player Victor Osimhen is now faced with the choice of staying back in Europe and playing football or going to Saudi Arabia and earning big money.
This is after Chelsea and Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia have tabled a bid of €70m for Napoli to consider. While the Saudi Pro-League side are ready to pay about €430,000 per week and a four-year contract worth €30m in wages per season. Chelsea are not willing to offer that much to the player, they are offering wages close to what Osimehen is currently earning at Napoli, which is around €10m per season.
Osimhen had initially rejected a move to Saudi Arabia, but with the Saudis returning with the huge offer, he is reported to be ready to make the move.
The player and his agent are now evaluating the offer and considering their best steps. Napoli remain adamant that they will close a sale before the end of the transfer window later this weekend.
