Former Super Eagles top striker, Odion Ighalo has revealed that Victor Osimhen is wallowing in pain after his failed transfer deals.
Osimhen missed the chance to move to Chelsea and Al- Hilal of Saudi Arabia on deadline day, due to contractual disagreements on his path and Napoli.
Osimhen did not accept Chelsea’s wage offer, while Napoli wanted more money from the Saudi club. Both deals collapsed and Osimhen has found himself in soccer limbo.
Commenting on his X page Sunday,
Osimhen’s pal Ighalo said it was sad how Osimhen has been treated by his club and also Nigerian soccer fans who rather than show support are castigating the player for not signing for Chelsea.
“No human being is perfect, and we have all made mistakes in life, but seeing comments about this young man from his country’s people makes me really sad, without even knowing what happened,”Ighalo stated.
“I spoke to him, and I could feel the pain in his voice. The way he’s been treated, this young man plays with his heart and passion for his country.
“Hmmm, it’s well. He will definitely come back stronger. We learn every day in life.”
