Victor Osimhen is leaving tonight for Turkey after securing a loan move to Galatasaray.
Following his failed deal with Chelsea and Al- Hilal on deadline day, Turkey offered an escape route from Napoli where had been frozen out of the first team.
Napoli agreed that Gala can have the Super Eagles striker as long as they can pay his wages. Though there were reports the club wanted Osimhen to sign a contract extension till 2027, so that he doesn’t go for free when his current Napoli contract expires in 2026.
According to Sports Digitale Turkish transfer expert Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Gala have made a private jet available to pick Osimhen Monday night.
Football Italia reports that thousands of fans are already trying to get ready to greet him at the airport and put on quite a show for this shock transfer.
To celebrate his escape Osimhen posted a message on his X page playing a sound track from an old movie ‘Awodi’ and it is suggested this song reflects someone facing a struggle, but still confident that God will ultimately see them through.
