Nollywood actress and media personality, Nancy Isime said she may be retiring early from acting.
Speaking during a chat on CreativiTEA podcast, she noted that it was her wish to retire early if she achieves financial security.
“I have been working since I was 17, early retirement is the plan. So, I’m doing all my work now so by the time I am retiring at an age people feel is too early, my portfolio and achievements will speak for themselves,” she said.
The actress also emphasised the importance of enjoying the journey, rather than just focusing on the end result.
“We tend to want to see the end results before we do anything. We don’t enjoy the process. I’m very intentional about enjoying the process and the journey, understanding that you can never truly arrive.
“People feel like struggles are something to be ashamed of; for me, it’s not. If you go through my Instagram page, you can scroll all the way down. I don’t delete anything because it’s like a memory book for me”.
She added that building a strong foundation was key.
“There’s a part of the Bible that says when your foundation is built on Christ, it’s like building on solid rock, and when the rain comes, it stands solid. That’s what I’ve done, building my way through life.”
