Private Ruth Ogunleye has charged the army authorities to make public the details of the investigation that led to her discharge from the Nigeria Army.
Miss Ogunleye had accused her superiors of sexual harassment and intimidation in a TikTok post and after eight months of investigations the army claimed on Tuesday that the allegations against the top officers including Colonel I.B. Abdulkareem, Colonel G.S. Ogor, and Brigadier General I.B. Solebo were not true and that Ogunleye was having some mental health issues, and she had been discharged accordingly.
Reacting to the development Ogunleye took to her TikTok account to shoot back at the army.
“Firstly I want to thank [army spokesman] General Onyema Nwachukwu for posting me on all social media platforms, newspapers, it shows how powerful I am,” she said.
“January 9th 2024, I came on social media to complain of how I was harassed, of how I was raped and how I was injected and put inside a casket.
“How I had a gun pointed at me, was handcuffed and kept inside an office for some days.
“I want to beg the Nigerian army to post the outcome of the investigation on all social media platforms, so that the world would know what transpired.”
