Victor Osimhen has reassured his fans he wouldn’t change address during the January transfer window.
This is against the background of speculations Chelsea could make a move in January, after they failed to get the top striker during summer deadline day negotiations.
“Again, I’m happy to announce to fans and lovers of victor osimhen; I have told my agent not to make an offer for January, I will finish the season in Galatasaray,” Osimhen said.
Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca had confirmed that the Blues still have their eyes on the player despite having Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku doing well at Stamford Bridge.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said there was no negotiation going on between Chelsea and the Osimhen who is on loan transfer to Galatasaray with a clause for inserted by Napoli for a possible transfer in the January.
“I’ve been asked about reports on Osimhen possibly moving for just £40m this January, with Chelsea said to be working on this deal behind the scenes,” Romano told CaughtOffside.
“However, I can honestly say that nothing is happening now regarding Osimhen. I’ve said many times recently that Chelsea’s interest remains, and they still like the player, but there are no negotiations ongoing, and it would be disrespectful for Galatasaray as they paid important money to land Osimhen on loan. So it’s all quiet for now, and once we get closer to January, we will see the developments.”
