Ahead of Friday’s 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier against the Super Eagles, Libyan coach Nasser Al-Hadiri said his aim is to play out a draw, since he has no chance of against the three times African champions at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
“We realise that winning against Nigeria is difficult, but we seek to return with a draw that will be positive for us and restore our hope in competing for qualification,” he was quoted by Libya News 24.
The Mediterranean Knights are bottom of Group D with one point from two games, while the Super Eagles have four points after beating Benin Republic and drawing against Rwanda.
