Former Chelsea Champions League winning coach Thomas Tuchel has agree to take over the role of England manager.
According to several reports Tuchel has agreed terms with the FA after both parties began talks in July. FA boss Mark Bullingham is expected to address a press conference on Wednesday to explain his choice of Tuchel who has been out of job since leaving Bayern Munich in May.
This would be the first job in international job for Tuchel who led Chelsea to UEFA Champions League glory in 2020/21.
He also took Bayern to the semi-finals of last season’s Champions League, where they lost to eventual winners Real Madrid.
The 51-year-old was named the men’s UEFA Coach of the Year for his success at Chelsea in 2020/21. His list of honours also includes two Ligue 1 titles with Paris Saint-Germain, in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
