The O’Jez Entertainment Group on Sunday, October 27, relaunched it’s usually glamourous Elders’ Forum, which has been in the cooler since 2020 due to the “COVID-19” pandemic.
The O’Jez Elders’ Forum according to the management of the entertainment outfit is an avenue through which people who contributed to the growth and deployment of the Nigerian entertainment industry are recognised and appreciated.
The event which was held at the O’Jez Sports Lounge at the National Stadium Surulere Lagos brimmed with activities as many members of the Elder’s Forum returned to a familiar turf to witness and participate in the rebirth of the forum.
Speaking on behalf of the O’Jez Entertainment Group, top management staff and veteran sports journalist, Mr. Effiong Nyong expressed delight at the relaunch of the forum, which he said is going to be better than ever.
According to Mr. Nyong: “The O’Jez Elders’ Forum is avenue through which we recognize and honour those who have contributed immensely to the development and growth of the Nigerian entertainment industry.
“The relaunch of O’Jez Elders’ Forum’ today is to bring back the excitement which has been out of the radar for some time now. And we can proudly tell you that the O’Jez Elders’ Forum’ is back and better.”
Speaking further, he added: “At OJez, our doors are open always. We are open for partnership with organizations and individuals with a view to taking Nigerian entertainment industry to greater heights.
“When it comes to entertainment in this country, we are unique.
“At the O’Jez group we are into engineering, we are into hospitality, we are into entertainment and we are also into philanthropy, as a matter of fact, we are into humanity not just philanthropy like others do but we are into humanity.
“Kudos should be given to our Managing Director (MD), Chief Joseph Anayo Odobeatu for his vision and knack for discovering talents. As you can see, these visually impaired musicians were discovered and groomed by him.”
Meanwhile, many celebrities graced the occasion including Sunny Nneji, Alariwo of Africa, Segun Arinze, Paul Obazele, Alex O, the national secretary of Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, Comedian Mr. O and other in-house upcoming artists.
