Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike has hit back at human rights activist Deji Adeyanju who recently accused Wike of insensitivity and lack of humanity for demolishing some settlements along the Abuja Airport Road.
Adeyanju in company of Martins Otse a.k.a VeryDarkMan led a demonstration of citizens against the demolitions. Wike said in Abuja that it was because, Adeyanju is jobless that is why he has taken to activism.
“I saw one young man; they call him Adeyanju. He is from Kogi State. This young boy came to me that he wants to be the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP and I said no,” Wike said.
“I said he won’t be, and he was not. I have no regret about it. He has suddenly become a civil society activist. He has no job and that’s why he decided to turn to a civil society activist.
Adeyanju had criticised Wike’s handling security challenges in the FCT and also his involvement in the political logjam in Rivers State.
