A student who was failed by her lecturer because she refused to give in to his sexual demands have been cleared by the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State to graduate.
The student Ramota Olahanloye had alleged that her lecturer Dr. Anthony Agbegbedia deliberately failed her in two final-year course because she turned down his sexual demands.
And after investigations by the school management authority, Miss Olahanloye’s scripts were reassessed, and it was discovered that she had more marks that were given to her by the sex demanding lecturer.
“The young lady’s scripts were re-marked, and she performed fairly better than the scores initially awarded by Dr. Anthony Agbegbedia,” said a statement made available to the media Friday Dr. Wole Balogun who is the special adviser on media to the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti.
“The university management has given executive approval for her results to be processed. She has since commenced her final clearance from relevant units of the university.”
He said that Dr. Agbegbedia has been sanctioned by the institution for his misconduct.
