The make-up of Nigeria and its resource control has always been a front burner topic in daily political discuss and as the country reaches a political, social and economic crossroads The Truth Rebirth Group have gathered Nigerians from all walks to forge an agenda on the way forward.
TRG is an arm of the New Nation Enlightenment Foundation, a civil society group looking into the challenges facing Nigeria as a country. The two-day symposium under chairmanship of Dr. Bitrus Pogu is themed “Envisioning Nigeria’s Future: Addressing the National Question,” is billed to run at the Trophy Hotel Gwari Avenue Baranwa Kaduna State between November 28-29.
Participants at the symposium include civil society groups, Nigerian ethnic nationalities, religious organisations and political groups across the country. According to the organisers of the gathering, the main focus is to set an agenda that would reshape the country in the future.
“We have so many problems that have beset our country. At the symposium we have so many civil society groups about 21 of them in attendance and the restructuring the country for more efficiency and political stability is the focal point.
“We intend to deliberate for two days and at the end of session come up with a communique, which we shall present to the National Assembly and also ensure that an action is taken by the lawmakers to reshape our country,” said one of the organisers.
