Ruud van Nistelrooy’s fairy tale run in the Premier continued Tuesday night with his new team Leicester City beating West Ham 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.
After leading Manchester United to a five games unbeaten run including two wins against Leicester, the former Dutch striker proved he is a coach to watch out for.
Leicester grabbed him after his brief spell with United ended and van Nistelrooy delivered with a heartwarming win for the Foxes who hoovered above the relegation zone.
“I was focused on the game and what the game needed, the subs, the half-time talk, so focused on the moment, so I am going to get myself a little beer and reflect on the last three days.
“It has been very busy getting to know everyone, start working together. Everybody was involved with that and helping, it was busy, long days, but worth it,” said van Nistelrooy who became the first manager to beat a twice and led the same team to a win in a season
The win gave Leicester a bounce to the 15th place on the table. The host Brighton on Sunday it will be a test for van Nistelrooy.
