Afrobeats super star Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy gifted Seun Kuti a diamond iced out neckpiece with a Fela pendant as they meet for the first time.
Burna Boy and Seun Kuti, the son of the legendary creator of Afrobeat Fela Anikulapo Kuti met Wednesday, and it was momentous occasion for both artists. Burna Boy in some of his works had sampled Fela’s work.
Seun Kuti took to his official Instagram to share the latest development to all and sundry and even gives thanks to the Grammy Award winner over the gift.
Seun Kuti wrote; “From @burnaboygram with love. We actually met properly for the first time and ODOGWU send gift. Thanks bro. Big love.”
Meanwhile Burna Boy has topped the list of Spotify global streaming for African artists.
Burna Boy tops Spotify’s global streaming rankings for African artists in its list of top 20 most streamed artists. South Africa’s Tyla is second, while Nigerian Afrobeats stars Ayra Starr, Rema, Tems, Asake, Wizkid, and Davido followed in respective order.
