Nottingham Forest are having their best run in the Premier League in many years, sparking excitement for the fans about a possible appearance in Europe
At the City Ground on Boxing Day, Forest driven by a solid defence and fast counter attacks pipped visiting Tottenham 1-0 to bring their haul to 34 points and a third place spot on the table behind Liverpool and Chelsea. They played against Everton on Sunday at the Goodison Park.
“The table doesn’t mean anything we belief in process and humility,” said Forest manager Nuno Espirito De Santos
“The belief is here. [But] that doesn’t hide the reality. We didn’t achieve anything yet and we have to compete. We believe we can compete as long as every player understands. The fans should enjoy this together.”
Meanwhile fans are urging the players to do everything they can to finish in the top three.
“Every one of these players will go down in history as part of Forest’s best Premier League side,” one of the fans Matt wrote.
“Thirty years ago this season (1994-95), we finished third and that was the season that made me a Forest supporter.”
