Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi said his coach at Leicester City Ruud Van Nistelrooy, will come up with the right solution to save the club from relegation.
Leicester with 14 points are two steps up in the relegation zone and as they prepare to take on troubled 2024 Premier League champions Manchester City on Sunday, Ndidi said van Nistelrooy can put a team together that do well and win most of their remaining games.
Van Nistelrooy joined the club in November and has recorded one win against West Ham and a drew against Brighton in a game Ndidi picked up a hamstring injury. In his absence Leicester has lost three straight games to Newcastle, Chelsea and to Liverpool on boxing day.
“He’s an amazing manager with an amazing personality who is trying to put the team together,” Ndidi told The Punch.
“It’s going well. He’s an amazing manager with an amazing personality who is trying to put the team together. He’s building up from there, and with time, we will get his philosophy and win games. There are still many games to play, and we are up for it.”
“We have the quality to remain in the league. Things are not going the right way now, but we have the quality to get there with time.”
