Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah has hinted that this could his last season at Anfield and his aim is to win the Premier League as a parting gift.
Speaking ahead of their clash against Manchester United Sunday at Anfield Salah stated: “It’s my last year in the club so you want to do something special for the City. That was the thing in my head.
“In my interviews over the last seven or eight years, I always say [I want to win the] Champions League. But this is the first time I’m saying I really want to win the Premier League with Liverpool” told Sky Sports
Salah’s contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season, and, as a result, he is now able to sign a pre-contract agreement to join a club abroad in the summer.
The 32-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017, has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season to help the Reds top the Premier League and Champions League tables.
There is no breakthrough in his contract negotiation with Liverpool.
“There is no progress there. We are far away from any progress.
“So, we just need to wait and see.”
