Street music exponent Habeeb Okikiola a.k.a Portable has denied that has been made a personal non grata in Ibadan following his diatribes on his former lover Queen Dami the widow of the late Alafin of Oyo.
Portable was meant to perform at the Taye Currency concert January 2, but he was nowhere to be found. According to the organisers of the show, Portable was not wanted in Ibadan and his security could not be guaranteed.
“We spoke to the police commissioner and even signed an undertaking. We were provided adequate security at the venue, but we got reports that some people were still asking around for Portable’s whereabouts and lodging in Ibadan. It was then decided that he {Portable} stay off the show altogether,” said Jarule Entertainment organisers of the gig.
“He was the only one unable to perform on the list. It is unfortunate, but security comes first as a professional management outfit. This is the reason he couldn’t perform. We hope that the matter will be resolved as soon as possible.”
But reacting on his Instablog Portable stated: “They lied. I was in my house because I was under the weather. More so, they paid N1M instead of N5M. I will never go where I am not loved.”
