Usain Bolt has urged Manchester United to fight in every game like they did against Liverpool.
The Jamaican track and field legend reacting to the draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday reckoned that United can still win the Premier League, if they play like they did against the Reds with defender Harry Mcguire missing a goal in the last minute that could have earned their first win in five games.
United took the lead through Lisandro Martinez, then falling behind before Amad Diallo rescued a point, with the game ending 2-2.
‘If we can play with this fight every game @ManUtd will win the league,’ Bolt posted on X.
Meanwhile defender Diogo Dalot says he and other top players were pinched into taking action by manager Ruben Amorim.
Before the trip to Anfield, United manager Amorim had urged the leaders in his squad “to step up to help the other guys” who were “sometimes afraid.”
“It pinched me. I think that’s what he wanted for every player,” said Dalot.
“I’ve been here for a while. I know that I can step up a little bit more as well in that level and I’m going to try to help my teammates for as long as I can.
“As long as I’m on the pitch and outside the pitch, I will try to help them. You could see that we were more a team. That was the biggest difference.”
