The draws for the CAF African Nations Championship were made Wednesday and Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been drawn in the same group D with defending champions Senegal in the tournament that has shifted to August.
According to reports the hosting Nations Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are not update with the facilities, the competition is two teams short and also CAF prefers August when most of the African domestic leagues would have rounded up. The February 2-28 date looks more unlikely.
The Super Eagles B who have being in camped in Remo Ogun State will now be heading back to their respective clubs until a later date when they can regroup and plot their strategy on how to navigate the tournament. In their match practice match Wednesday, the Super Eagles B post a 3-2 victory over Sunshine Stars of Akure.
