Victor Osimhen remains a transfer target for Manchester United and they could return in the summer after the player declined a January deal.
United according reports in the UK, are looking to put themselves in a good position to land Osimhen with a likely swap with winger Alejandro Garnacho, who Napoli are interested in signing to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Napoli already tabled €40 million for Garnacho, which United rejected.
United may try to use Garnacho to pad up their quest to sign Osimhen whose loan deal with Galatasaray ends in the summer and has made it clear he would listen to offers then.
“Victor Osimhen is a Manchester United dream target but financially it’s very difficult, even with that release clause dropping to €75 million,” transfer expert Ben Jacobs told The United Stand.
By trading Garnacho for Osimhen, Man Utd would land their “dream” striker, while the Argentine would get to follow in the footsteps of the great Diego Maradona by turning out for the Naples outfit.
