Erling Haaland said he was excited to sign a 10-years deal that will take most of his playing career at Manchester City.
Haaland has signed a sensational new nine-and-a-half-year deal that will keep him at the Etihad until 2034. It means Haaland will be into his mid-30s before the new deal comes to an end.
The stunning contract is said to be worth more than £500,000-a-week, making him the highest paid player in the Premier League. It’s understood the deal includes a release clause said to be in excess of £250m, which kicks in in 2029.
Haaland, 24, said: “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club.
“Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it’s the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody.
“I also want to thank Pep, his coaching staff, my team-mates and everyone at the club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years. They have made this such a special place to be and now I am City no matter what.
