Still Basking in his side’s 6-0 thrashing of Ipswich Town in Sunday Premier League match Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola seem unfazed by the potential departure of defending Kyle Walker.
The full- back who has not played for City this year has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium with AC Milan a likely destination. Former AC Milan striker now an adviser to the club Zlatan Ibrahimovic last Saturday spoke of his admiration for Walker.
“Everyone knows he is a great player, he played for Tottenham and the England national team. When there is a player like Walker on the market there is a lot of interest,” he said.
“He doesn’t go against our strategies. He is strong, he is a leader, he dominates the dressing room. We are checking what is possible and what is not possible.”
Responding to Zlatan’s comment after beating Ipswich Town Guardiola said: “Did Ibrahimovic say he likes Walker? If Zlatan said it, well… he said it. Kyle can play anywhere!”
Milan have reportedly booked a medical for Tuesday or Wednesday for Walker and keen to sign the player on permanent or loan deal.
