Super Eagles top striker Victor Osimhen’s romance with Turkey football may be heading for a glitch as he clashed with media cameraman and a reporter who captured him leaving a night club in Istanbul.
The incident happened on the night Turkey mourned 80 people who were killed during a hotel fire in ski resort. Osimhen was leaving the club Tofes 99 Sports Bar in Maslak 1453 in the early hours of Thursday with his companions, when he noticed that the media representatives were filming him.
He demanded that they stop and not publish what they already recorded saying in the video that is trending online “If I see this footage anywhere, I will destroy you”.
But the media guys from the outfit Posta and Sabah did not oblige his request event when he tried to ‘settle’ them the way it is done in his country.
Osimhen who has scored 15 goals in his loan spell for Galatasaray may now be finding his stay in Turkey unwelcoming as he had also faced critics on the field from pundits who are not impressed with techniques.
Former Galatasaray coach and HT Spor commentator Mustafa Denizli is one of those critics. He said Osimhen likes to stray in the offside position. He has been caught offside 20 times in 14 matches. Six of the goals he has scored for Galatasaray were disallowed due to offside.
