Nigeria’s Super Eagles have familiar foes Tunisia as their main headache in the group C pairing of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The draws conducted Monday also had Uganda and Tanzania in the group in the tournament bill for Morocco in June.
Nigeria and Tunisia have met seven times in the AFCON with both teams winning one game a piece while drawing the other matches. In 2019 Nigeria beat Tunisia to the third place, while at 2021, Tunisia bundled Nigeria out of the tournament in the round of 16.
In 2004 Tunisia edged out Nigeria on 5-3 penalty shootout in the semifinal after full time scores ended 1-1. Tunisia went on to win their one and only AFCON title beating Morocco 2-1 in the final.
In group C Nigeria have win three titles, while Tanzania and Uganda are yet to put their hands on the trophy.
