Rapper Darlington Achakpo a.k.a Speed Darlington has alleged that an individual he described as “Long Face” sent gunmen after him.
Speed Darlington posted a video on his Instagram page claiming that he was attacked by gunmen who riddle his car with bullet while he was coming from club in Lagos Sunday night.
“Long Face sent killers my way and I haven’t even post anything. Broooooo!! Is this necessary? You try to take my life really?” he captioned the video.
Speed Darlington and fellow artist Burna Boy have had a long running feud, which led to the rapper being detained by the police for three months for allegedly cyber bullying the “Last Last” Grammy Award winner.
Speed Darlington accused Burna Boy of inappropriate relationship with disgraced rapper Sean Diddy Combs, hence his quick way to the Grammy Win.
Meanwhile, a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja Monday adjourned the N300 million fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by the singer, against the police, until March 19 for adoption of processes.
In the fundamental rights suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1832/2024, Speed Darlington sued I-G as the sole respondent. He sought “an order directing the respondent to pay the applicant the sum of N300,000,000.00 (Three Hundred Million Naira) only as general, exemplary, and aggravating damages for their unlawful and continued detention since 2024 till date.”
The artiste, who urged the court to declare that his arrest and detention violated his fundamental rights as guaranteed by the 1999 Constitution.
