Saudi League side Al-Nassr are developing cold feet on the proposed transfer of Victor Boniface as they prefer to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Durán.
Though Al-Nassr have agreed €70m with Boniface, reports on Wedneday say the club are keen to sign Durán and are holding talks with the Colombian born player who scored 12 goals for Villa this season.
Boniface who has been given permission to have his medicals at Al-Nassr and he is looking forward to joining Cristiano Ronaldo, would have to wait and see if Al-Nassr’s bid for Durán will sail through.
“There are discussions with the club and we need to wait. We’re preparing without Boni,” Bayer Levekusen coach Javier Alonso told reporters Tuesday.
“We will see. We need to wait a bit more but our preparation is with the rest of our squad who are ready and fit and in good shape at the moment.”
