Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has been urged to sign a contract extension with Fenerbahce, otherwise he would not play for the club for the rest of the season.
But Osayi-Samuel whose contract expires in the summer has refused to sign as he is determined to leave Turkey before the January window expires on Monday. Fenerbahce are said to have offered him €6m over three years, however, Osayi-Samuel would only sign if he got €2.5m a season.
Consequently, according to reports coach Jose Mourinho has removed his name from his list of players for the season, meaning Osayi-Samuel would be able to play football until the summer, if he does not get a club this January window.
Fenerbahce are hopeful that he finds a club so that they can get some of their investments back, instead of allowing him to leave for free in the summer.
Crystal Palace are reported to have spoken to the player, and it remain to be seen if a deal would materialise.
