The quiet seaport town of Koko, Delta State will come alive February 14, 2025 as golfers from Warri, Benin City, Port Harcourt and Lagos converge to vie for honours.
Apart from golfing sports men and women from the Niger Delta will try their hands in some other games in the sports fiesta package by the Canaan Land Golf & Country Club, Koko.
According to the event schedule, the noble men’s game of golf will take prominence with golf enthusiasts including veterans and aces gearing up to physically flex their ageing muscles for the tournament that will tee off by 7.00am on Valentine Day.
Other line up of sports engagements include cycling, ping pong, badminton, darts, ludo and Eko mental plays.
Highpoint of the eventful sports outing is the unveiling of the “UGOGOMEGE STATUE”, a symbol of peace, unity and love, on the rich culture of Koko town and its allure to prospective investors towards growth and development in the community.
Chief organiser of the sports fiesta Mr. Felix Aganbi, said in a chat that this year’s Canaan Land Golf & Country Club event, is a complete upgrade of previous outings, noting that it’s uniqueness rests on the spectacular Valentine’s Day and inclusion of other sports activities in the package.
