Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo said he is sure Ola Aina will remain at the club as contract talks are positively progressing.
The Super Eagles right back will be out of contract in the summer after joining the title chasing side in 2023. So far both sides are yet to agree on terms. Ola Aina’s contribution to Forest this season has been remarkable and has attracted interest from other clubs including Manchester City.
“I think there will be good news. Things are going well. I am positive and confident everything is going to be solved,” Nuno said when asked about Aina’s future during Thursday’s pre-match press conference.
Meanwhile, speaking on Taiwo Awoniyi’s injury Santo stated that the striker is recovering well.
“He broke his nose, so he is in pain and is with the medical department. We are waiting for the right protocols to be followed. It is a concussion, so we have to be really careful,” Santo told a press conference on Thursday.
“He looks okay. He is smiling but with pain. In this situation, we have to be careful and take two or three days to settle down and see if he is going to be okay.”
Forest will face Fulham in a Premier League encounter this weekend.
