Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has demanded that the disciplinary proceedings against her following her row with Senate president Godswill Akpabio be broadcast live to Nigerians.
The Senator representing Kogi Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, is facing disciplinary action after she clashed with Senator Akpabio over seating arrangements in the Senate.
Senator Akpabio on Tuesday took a swipe at Akpoti-Uduaghan saying she lacked knowledge of the Senate rules hence her unruly behaviour. This was after Akpoti-Uduaghan slapped him with a N100 billion defamation suit.
Writing on her Facebook page Thursday Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan said she is ready to face the panel, but she would feel more comfortable if the proceedings made public.
“Good morning courageous people of Kogi Central, Kogi State and Nigeria,” the Senator wrote.
“This petition came to my notice a few hours ago. In as much as I have refrained from publicly speaking on the matter and a lot of occurrences at the Senate under Senate President Akpabio, it’s about time I break my silence.”.
“The next few days and weeks shall be interesting but will shape the standard and quality of Nigeria’s leadership. And to Nigerians, please be sure to join the probe which I shall insist would be covered live.
