Former manager and elder brother of the Psquare brothers Jude Okoye has been granted a N100m bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
Mr. Okoye was charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) based on accusation of laundering a total of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. He was remanded by presiding Judge Alexander Owoeye at Ikoyi correctional Centre.
During the bail application hearing on Monday, Mr. Okoye was granted bail with two sureties, each possessing landed properties in Lagos valued at ₦100 million. The court must verify the documentation for these properties, and Okoye is restricted from leaving the country without prior approval.
Owoeye stated that Okoye would remain in prison custody until the bail conditions were fulfilled, the case was adjourned till April 14, 2025.
