Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has included Ahmed Musa, in his provisional list of players for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Ahmed Musa has not played for the Super Eagles for some time and football fans have questioned his inclusion in the squad, however, sources at the Nigeria Football Federation hinted that his leadership quality is need as the Nigeria try to revive their off the rails 2026 World Cup campaign. Also returning are Paul Onuachu and Sadiq Umar.
Newcomers include Tolu Arokodare who is taking the Belgian League by the storm could warm his way to his first cap for the Super Eagles. He has scored 15 goals for Genk this season. Other freshers are Anthony Dennis (FC Göztepe), Papa Daniel Mustapha and Igoh Ogbu Slavia Prague.
The Super Eagles, currently fifth in Group C, will take on Rwanda in Kigali on March 21 before hosting Zimbabwe in Uyo on March 25. It would be Eric Chelle’s first game in charge and Nigerians are highly expectant of a good result.
