Nottingham Forest Saturday pipped Manchester City 1-0 at the City Ground to further boost their chances of a top finish in the English Premier League.
Defender Ola Aina was one player who worked his socks off as Forest defended deep and proved a hard nut to crack for City. Hudson Odoi grabbed the winner for Nottingham Forest in the 83rd Minute.
Aina said after the game he had a good sleep Friday night with the sole intention of pocketing City winger Jeremy Doku in the game.
“We knew City were hot on our tails, and we needed to get a result here. Thankfully we did,” Aina told TNT Sport.
He said his mind was focused on how to stop Doku the only player who seems to be driving City at the moment.
“He’s very direct a tricky player. I kept telling him on the pitch that he needs to chill man. Yeah, he’s a tough opponent and he’s one I like to come up against and test myself
“I got more sleep, more sleep, but you know, I prepare the same, I’m the type of person that gives my best and whatever happens, it was a good one today.”
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo said his team’s defending was key to them taking all three points.
“We are happy! Very happy. We did a good game against a tough team.
“The organisation and help were fundamental. I am proud and happy.
