Nigeria’s Super Eagles Monday night landed in Kigali, Rwanda for their make or mar World Cup qualifiers against the Amavubi.
Players who arrived for the crucial tie include top striker Victor Osimhen, Tolu Arokodare, Bruno Onyemaechi, Papa Daniel, Kayode Bankole Amas Obasogie Simon Moses, Victor Boniface, Raphael Onyedika, Jordan Torunarigha, Stanley Nwabali, Samuel Chukwueze, Bright Osayi and Igoh Oguh.
Others are expected to join by Tuesday morning and the team will have their first training later in the evening. The match is billed for Friday at the Amahoro Stadium.
Much is being expected from the Super Eagles who are second from bottom with four points, in the game against the group C leaders who beat the Nigerian side in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier contest in Uyo last November. They are still without a win after four matches in qualifying contest.
It would be coach Eric Chelle first game with Super Eagles and Nigerian fans would expect nothing short of a victor to convince them he was a good hire for the team.
